Our Vision

At Montville Public Schools all students will be engaged in purposeful and challenging learning experiences that are responsive to individual differences.  As a community we share accountability for student success and social and emotional well-being.  Through strong relationships with students, parents and the community, we will promote civic responsibility, development of personal identity, and respect for diversity.  By providing an environment where it is safe to take risks, students will learn to take pride in who they are and what they accomplish.  The Montville Public Schools will deliver on the promise of high achievement for all students and eliminate opportunity gaps to ensure every graduate is a critical, creative, and collaborative problem-solver ready for life, learning and work in a global society.

Principal's Message

WELCOME TO MOHEGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

When I first arrived at Mohegan Elementary School, I was immediately struck by the genuine warmth and kindness that filled the building. Smiles, greetings, and a strong sense of community made it clear that this is a place where every child and adult feels welcome, supported, and valued.

As you step through our doors, you’ll quickly notice some of the qualities that make Mohegan such a special place:

A nurturing K–5 environment where our dedicated staff works tirelessly to support the academic and personal growth of every student.

An engaged and enthusiastic PTO that enhances student learning through enrichment programs and helps shape the school’s positive, family-centered culture.

A shared commitment to educating the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically—ensuring that every learner is prepared for success both in school and beyond.

A strong PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework rooted in respect and safety, where students are recognized for positive choices through classroom incentives and school-wide celebrations.

Daily opportunities for students to think critically, express themselves creatively, and stay active through art, music, physical education, media, and technology.

As principal, I am proud to lead a school where relationships, collaboration, and student success are at the heart of everything we do. I look forward to partnering with you to make your child’s experience at Mohegan a joyful and rewarding one. Please don’t hesitate to stop in to say hello or reach out to me by email with any questions.
