Principal's Message

When I first arrived at Mohegan Elementary School, I was immediately struck by the genuine warmth and kindness that filled the building. Smiles, greetings, and a strong sense of community made it clear that this is a place where every child and adult feels welcome, supported, and valued.

As you step through our doors, you’ll quickly notice some of the qualities that make Mohegan such a special place:

• A nurturing K–5 environment where our dedicated staff works tirelessly to support the academic and personal growth of every student.
• An engaged and enthusiastic PTO that enhances student learning through enrichment programs and helps shape the school’s positive, family-centered culture.
• A shared commitment to educating the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically—ensuring that every learner is prepared for success both in school and beyond.
• A strong PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework rooted in respect and safety, where students are recognized for positive choices through classroom incentives and school-wide celebrations.
• Daily opportunities for students to think critically, express themselves creatively, and stay active through art, music, physical education, media, and technology.
