Our Vision

At Montville Public Schools all students will be engaged in purposeful and challenging learning experiences that are responsive to individual differences.  As a community we share accountability for student success and social and emotional well-being.  Through strong relationships with students, parents and the community, we will promote civic responsibility, development of personal identity, and respect for diversity.  By providing an environment where it is safe to take risks, students will learn to take pride in who they are and what they accomplish.  The Montville Public Schools will deliver on the promise of high achievement for all students and eliminate opportunity gaps to ensure every graduate is a critical, creative, and collaborative problem-solver ready for life, learning and work in a global society.

Principal's Message

WELCOME TO MOHEGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

When I first arrived at Mohegan, I was immediately struck by the warmth and welcoming nature of our school community. Every child and adult greeted me with a smile, creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere.

As you walk through our doors, you will quickly notice a few key aspects of our school:

A nurturing K-5 environment where our staff is dedicated to fostering the best learning experience for every individual student.

An actively involved PTO that provides enrichment opportunities for students and plays a vital role in shaping the school's positive climate.

A shared commitment to educating the whole child by addressing their academic, social-emotional, and physical needs, essential for lifelong learning.

A strong PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentive Supports) system grounded in the values of respect and safety, setting high expectations, and rewarding positive behavior through classroom incentives, and school-wide celebrations.

Daily opportunities for students to explore creativity, movement, and critical thinking through art, music, physical education, media, and technology.

As your principal, I am excited to build a strong and rewarding partnership between school and home. I encourage you to become a part of our dynamic learning community at Mohegan Elementary School. Please feel free to stop by to say hello or reach out to me via email with any questions.

Best regards,
